“If Rumania goes along the road of anti-Semitism it will have very severe consequences, not only inside the country but in its foreign relations.”
This warning was sounded here today in the government organ Affari Esteri (Foreign Affairs) in a long article commenting on the growth of the anti-Semitic movement in Rumania.
The newspaper cautions Rumania that it will forfeit many of the sympathies which it is enjoying at present if it submits to the demands of the Rumanian ex-Premier Dr. Vaida-Voevod to introduce restrictions against Jews in commerce and in education.
