Solution of the “Hebraic problem” and an end of all “provocations against the totalitarian states” were among demands listed today by the newspaper Resto del Carlino in an outline of conditions that would lead to peace.
Reiterating Italy’s demands for Tunis, Djibouti and Suez, and also naming British Malta, the newspaper supported German claims to Danzig, the Polish corridor and former Reich colonies, and declared: “There must be an end of all provocations against the totalitarian states, all persecutions of Italians and Germans living abroad. Finally, the Hebra problem must be solved by a general agreement establishing the Jews in a non-European country which shall not be Palestine.”
