Voicing the slogan “We will be back in Africa,” Italian radio stations were heard today broadcasting a message from Mussolini in the Arab language, assuring the Moslem world that the Axis defeat in North Africa “is only of a temporary nature.” At the same time a broadcast in Arabic from the Italian station at Bari urged the Arabs in Palestine and throughout the Near East to conduct sabotage against the Allied forces, declaring that “one day we shall return to the Arab countries.”
The Italian station told the Arab listeners that within twenty-four hours after the fall of Tunis and Bizerte, Hitler ordered the inclusion of the Arab language in the curriculum of the Hitler youth.
