The Leonardo da Vinci Literary Society of Florence has set up prizes for prose and poetry in memory of Laura Orvieto, a Jewish authoress of that city, who died recently.
A writer of stories for young people, Mrs. Orvieto was well known to the past few generations of Italian youth. Writers and members of Italy’s Parliament are included on the jury which will present the Laura Orvieto Prizes.
