The Italian Zionist Federation – reorganized at a national conference held here from Jan. 12 to 15 – is engaged at present in preparing for the emigration of 900 Jews to Palestine, it was reported today by Carlo Alberto Viterbo, new president of the organization.
The federation is functioning normally for the first time since 1938 when it was banned under the anti-Jewish laws introduced by Mussolini. Leaders include, besides Mr. Viterbo, Giulio Wiener and Settimo Sornai, vice-presidents and Oscar Dominitz, secretary.
