An appeal to the Italian Government to use its good offices toward a peaceful solution of the Middle East conflict was contained in a resolution adopted here at the eighth national conference of the Italian Zionist movement.
Other resolutions expressed the solidarity of Italian Zionists with Israel and acknowledged the assistance and cooperation of the Jewish Agency. Among the participants in the parley were Sergio Piperno, president of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities, and representatives of the Jewish Agency, Keren Hayesod and Jewish National Fund.
