Italy has no plans at present for taking any action with respect to the Israel-Arab dispute, Italian Foreign Minister Gaetano Martino declared here. Addressing the Italian Senate’s Foreign Policy Committee, the Minister said that it would be better if the initiative was taken with a view toward the resumption of negotiations among the parties concerned He also confirmed a forthcoming visit by Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser to Italy, but did not specify the date of that visit.
