Any group of non-Catholic pupils in Italian public schools may obtain the use of classrooms for religious education of their own choosing, Paolo Rossi, Minister of Education, declared in Parliament today. The Minister said further that all teachers employed in the public schools were under instruction not to force non-Catholics to participate in Catholic instruction. He noted, too, that non-Catholic teachers do not have to teach Catholic doctrine.
