An agreement has been signed in Rome between Israel and Italy providing for the return of Italian property in the Jewish State seized by the British during World War II, it was announced here today.
The pact provides that all Italian property in Israel will be handed back on August 1. For their part, the Italians will pay Israel damages for all personal property of Jews passing through Italy which was requisitioned by Italy since the start of World War II.
