Ivriah’s annual springtime breakfast will be held Monday, June 10, at the Waldorf-Astoria, with 1,000 members and friends expected for the celebration of the ninety-fourth birthday of the organization. Ivriah is the women’s division of the Jewish Education Association.
The subscription is priced at $18, according to the chairman of the arrangements committee. The proceeds will go toward the organization’s scholarship and kindergarten funds.
“Never in the history of our organization,” said Mrs. Gabriel Hamburger, president of Ivriah, “has such enthusiasm and a desire to create scholarships been manifested. Our women are fully cognizant of the importance of Jewish education of our youth at this time, more so than at any previous period in the annals of our people.”
