Dr. Solomon Goldman of Temple Ansche Emeth of Chicago will be the guest speaker at the annual Ivriah Springtime Breakfast to be held at the Waldorf Astoria May 3. Mrs. Gabriel Hamburger, chairman of the women’s division of the American Jewish Congress, announced that the proceeds of the affair will go to the support of Talmud Torah schools, the granting of scholarships, and the founding of an experimental kindergarten school.
Among the artists who have volunteered to entertain are: Victor Chenkin, character actor, Everett Marshall, baritone, Belle Didjah, concert dancer, Vladimir Dubinsky, cellist, Jane Froman, soprano, and Helene Mara, coloratura soprano. Mrs. Clara J. Ostriker is program director.
Mrs. Max Lazare, co-chairman of Ivriah, is in charge of arrangements, and the advisory board includes: Mmes, Israel Unterberg, Felix Warburg, Rebekah Kohut, Irving Lehman, and Miss Adele Bildersee. Mrs. William Jasie is honorary chairman of the organization.
