J.c.a. Decides to Settle New Families on Land in Argentina

Sir Henry D’Avigdor Goldsmid was re-elected president of the Jewish Colonization Assocation, at a quarterly meeting of the JGA today, while Rene Mayer, former Premier of France, was renamed vice-president.

An annual budget for the organization was approved at the meeting. It included appropriations for settling new families on JCA farms in Argentina and sums for improving education and social and cultural aspects of life in all colonies of the Association. Grants were voted to the Agricultural Faculty of the Hebrew University in Israel as well as other Israeli training institutions, while increased grants were made to vocational training centers in Israel and North Africa.
