Ceremonies on the occasion of the dedication of Enrico Glicentein’s bronze statute of “Jeremiah” and its presentation to the Cleveland Public Library as a gift from the Jewish community of Clevelandfi will be held tomorrow evening in the Euclid Avenue Temple Auditorium.
Rabbi Stephen S. Wise will be the guest speaker. His subject will be “If Jeremiah Were Alive Today.”
Glicenstein’s “Jeremiah” has been exhibited in the museuims of Europe and in New York. It will now become a permanent possession of the Cleveland Public Library.
At the dedication exercise A. A. Stearns, president of the Cleveland Public Library Board will receive the statute in behalf of his board. Addresses are to be delivered by Rabbi Solomon Goldman, Rabbi Barnett Brickner, Rabbi Abraham Nowak, City Manager William R. Hopkins, Miss Linda A. Eastman, City Librarian, and Isaac Carmel, Secretary of the committee.
