The Joint Distribution Committee, as a member of the American Council of Voluntary Agencies for Foreign Relief, was represented by Harold Linder, in a call at the White House today by Council members, to seek President Truman’s endorsement for their program of aid abroad. Professor Joseph Chanberlain of Columbia University, president of the Council, headed the group.
