The United Hias Service and the Joint Distribution Committee have established a joint office in Rio de Janeiro to deal with matters relating to the work of both agencies in South America, it was announced here today. Ephraim F. Weinstein has been designated as officer-in-charge. The announcement was made jointly by Charles H. Jordan, JDC executive vice-chairman and Gaynor Jacobson, executive director of the United Hias Service.
