Ozar Hatorah with the help of the Joint Distribution Committee, maintains 32 schools for 7,000 Jewish children, Dr. Mordechai Hacohen, director general of the Orthodox group, reported today on his return from a two-month tour of the organization’s facilities in Europe and North Africa.
He said that Ozar Hatorah also provides education, food, clothing and medical care to 19,000 children in the Middle East and North Africa. Two-thirds of the organization’s budget is provided by the JDC, he emphasized.
