The Malben, the Joint Distribution Committee’s program in Israel for “hard-core” welfare cases among recent immigrants, today opened another hospital for bedridden chronic cases. The institution has a capacity of 150 beds.
Five new settlements have already been established in various parts of Israel this week and three more will be set up before the week is out, it was learned here today. The five, are opened yesterday, are located as follows: three in the Jezreal Valley; one in the Samaria district; and one in the Negev.
