The Joint Distribution Committee is sending ten tons of matzohs baked here to the Jews of Lodz, Poland, at the request of Israel Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog. It is also sending Israeli matzohs and wine to 30 Jewish communities in East and West Europe.
The Agudas Israel World Organization has shipped 100, 000 Haggadahs to Jews in P land, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Yugoslavia, it announced today. Haggadahs have been sent to the Jewish communities of Warsaw, Lodz, Cracow, Kattowice and others. They have also been sent to the Chief Rabbinates of Prague, Bratislava and Kosice in Czechoslovakia, at well as to the Jewish communities in Budapest and Belgrade.
