A Joint Distribution Committee relief team consisting of doctors, nurses, teachers and social workers left here today for Cyprus where they will operate in the camps for detained visaless Jewish immigrants.

A ship carrying the pre-fabricated parts of a camp capable of accommodating 10,000 persons, which the Jewish Agency purchased from the U.S. Army in preparation for the immigration of 100,000 European displaced Jews to Palestine, arrived at the port of Haifa today. The camp with all its facilities was purchased from American surplus stores in France.

Six Arabs dressed in the uniforms of Najjada, one of two so-called Palestinian Arab defense groups, were arrested today when they forced Arab-driven buses in northern Palestine to stop and questioned all passengers. Police authorities believe the six arrested men are connected with Najjada’s drive to enforce the boycott of “Zionist goods.”
