The Joint Distribution Committee will attempt to find enlarged emigration opportunities for Rumanian Jews, faced with disaster under the new anti-Semitic regime, as well as other Jews, Dr. Bernhard Kahn, European director of the J.D.C., said last night in an interview as he arrived on the S.S. Washington from Paris for a visit here.
Dr. Kahn asserted that the number of Jews deprived of their rights and economic opportunity in Europe had increased in the past year, and five to six million Jews in Europe were either victims of government anti-Semitism or of policies of unchecked anti-Semitic propaganda and persecution.
