Dr. Judah L. Magnes, chancellor of Hebrew University, Jerusalem, will arrive in this country May 2 for a brief visit on behalf of the University, according to Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach, president of the American Friends of the Hebrew University.
Dr. Magnes will be accompanied by Dr. Max Schloessinger, vice-chancellor of the University. They are arriving on the S. S. Excambion, which sailed from Haifa, Palestine, on April 8.
In connection with Dr. Magnes’ visit a conference of the American members of the board of governors of the University will be held Saturday evening, May 12, Dr. Rosenbach announced. Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the university, who will arrive in this country on May 10, will preside.
A public reception will be tendered Dr. Magnes by the American Friends on his arrival.
