Joseph Marcus, member of the Pennsylvania State Legislature, died early Saturday morning at the West Pennsylvania Hospital following an operation, at the age of 47.
Mr. Marcus, who was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Law School was a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and a former sheriff’s solicitor. He was a member of the legislature’s ways and means committee and chairman of the state elections committee. He was also an active member of the Washington Street Synagogue and of many fraternal societies.
