Purchase of 5,400 dunams (about 1,100 acres) of land in the Hanita district of northern Palestine was announced today by the Jewish National Fund, Zionist land-purchasing agency. The land will be developed for fruit plantations and has been temporarily turned over to the care of neighboring settlements. The Fund also announced the purchase of 1,300 dunams of land near Bnei Geulim in the northern part of the Sharon Valley.
