The Jewish National Fund of America today issued a call to Jewish organizations to send representatives to the Golden Jubilee Conference of the J.N.F. which will open in Washington on January 19 at the Hotel Statler. The conference will mark 50 years of the existence of the Jewish National Fund.

Referring to the difficulties now faced by Israel and the ways and means of resolving them, the call says that “the urgency of this historic hour in the lives of our people demands that we assembly to devise plans for the future.” It emphasizes that “a Blueprint for the Future” will be presented at the conference by Dr. Abraham Granott, world president of the J.N.F. This blueprint will deal with a ten-year program which includes an irrigation project through the Negev as well as other projects involving a cost of $500,000,000.

The call was signed by Dr. Harris J. Levine, president of the Jewish National Fund; Dr. Israel Goldstein, member of the executive of the Jewish Agency and chariman of the Golden Jubilee Committee of the Fund, and Mendel N. Fisher, executive director.
