Lawrence E. Grossman, of this city, a first-year student at the New York School of Social Work, today was granted the Jewish Welfare Board’s national merit fellowship in the field of social work. The $1,500 grant was the first awarded by the JWB, and will enable the winner to complete his second year of graduate study in preparation for a career as a YMHA and Jewish community center worker.
