The 54th annual convention of the Jewish War Veterans concluded here last night after electing Jackson J. Holtz, of Boston, as national commander. Mrs. Ann R. Abelow, of New York, was elected president of the J.W.V. ladies auxiliary.
Earlier the convention adopted a resolution urging the United States to reject the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission plan for severing Jerusalem from the rest of Israel. The resolution also favored international control only for those “sites recognized as Holy Places” and advocated U.N. administration by agreement with the Israel Government.
