President Truman’s “clear and convincing demonstration of United States adherence to the Administration’s avowed policy on Israel,” was lauded over the week-end by the Jewish War Veterans of the United States at its national Elections Committee meeting here. A resolution was adopted commending the President “for the genuine humanity exemplified by the cooperation and help afforded to the newest of the world’s nations.” The resolution also appealed for removal of the embargo on arms shipments to Israel and for a loan to the Jewish state.
