Vladimir Jabotinsky, president of the New Zionist Organization, has cabled instructions to the Palestine N.Z.O., in the event of “actual war conditions” to “leave responsibility to majority and safeguard Yishuv’s unity,” it was announced today by Benjamin Akzin, who said the instructions has been carried out by the Palestine N.Z.O.
The cable, dated May 21, said: “Should homeland come under actual war conditions you will leave responsibility to majority and safeguard Yishuv’s unity, except partition intrigue revived or acts prejudicing homeland’s national future. Delegation (in America) and administrative committee doing utmost formation Jewish army and united Jewish executive implementing Nordau plan. Ready for round-table with other Zionists as preliminary but meantime continuing act independently. Firmly believe whatever happens this world crisis will restore Jewish state.”
