Jacob de Haas, chairman of the organization committee of the Zionist Organization of America, and a close friend and biographer of the late Theodor Herzl, will be the chief speaker at the Herzl Memorial exercises planned by the local Zionists here, to take place on Monday evening, August 11, at the Copley-Plaza Hotel.
This is the first public appearance of Mr. de Haas in Boston in the last nine year under Zionist auspices. Others on the program will include Rabbi H. H. Rubenovitz, for 20 years spiritual leader of the Temple Mishkan Tefila, who is shortly to leave for Palestine; Hon. Elihu D. Stone, president of the New England Zionist Region, and Hon. Albert Hurwitz, former Assistant Attorney General.
