Jacob Sincoff, national co-treasurer of the United Jewish Appeal sailed today on the Queen Mary to visit Europe and Palestine to see at first hand how funds raised for the relief, rehabilitation and resettlement of the Jewish survivors overseas are being expended.
Mr. Sincoff will pay special attention to the needs of Jewish displaced persons in Germany and to the condition of Europe’s 150,000 surviving children, most of whom are orphans. In Palestine, he will survey the needs of the Jewish homeland in connection with the anticipated transfer of 100,000 homeless Jews from Europe. In addition to serving as national co-treasurer of the United Jewish Appeal, Mr. Sincoff is associate treasurer of the United Palestine Appeal and treasurer of JNF.
