Jacob Zausmer, the oldest Hebrew author in America, died here today at the age of 96. He came to the United States from Russia 70 years ago, and was active until his death in the field of Hebrew literature.
His articles and poems appeared in “Hadoar,” a Hebrew weekly, and “Bitzaron,” the Hebrew monthly, both published in the United State, and in various Israeli publications. A volume of his collected writings, “B’ikvay Hador” (In the Footsteps of a Generation) was published several years ago.
