The British government, it was learned here today, is seriously concerned over the fact that Japan is dumping cheap goods into Palestine, while exports from Palestine to Japan are negligible.
Whether the British government will be in a position to halt the Japanese dumping into Palestine, is the question now discussed in interested circles here. Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, the Colonial Minister, in a statement made April 10 in the House of Commons, declared that the question of taking measures to deal with the unfavorable trade balance between Japan and Palestine would involve legal and general difficulties.
It is understood that the British government is now considering the desirability of negotiating trade agreements between Palestine and the several countries which are now exporting large quantities of goods to Palestine
