The Industrial Bank of Japan has offered Israel five year credits for the purchase of industrial equipment at better term than those prevailing on world markets, Pinchas Saphir, Israel Trade Minister, reported today on his return from an eastern world tour.
The Minister, who said a Japanese trade delegation was expected here in the near future, said he completed arrangements for the construction of a 50, 000-ton Japanese tanker for Israel and signed an agreement for another tanker of similar size. He said chances were good for an increase of Israel exports to eastern countries of around $20,000,000.
