A Japanese Jew who was born in Baghdad will become Yeshiva University’s first Japanese undergraduate when he receives a B.A. degree in economics and an associate in arts degree at the university’s commencement exercises Thursday. Charles Moche. 21, earned the first degree from Yeshiva College, the second from the James Striar School of General Jewish Studies. He will continue his education at the Massachusetts College of Optometry. The student’s father, Victor Moche. is an importer-exporter, a member of the Kobe, Japan, Chamber of Commerce, and spiritual leader of Congregation Ohel Shlomo.
