Jerusalem, capital of Palestine, was the scenes of numerous disorders today as Arab mobs continued the rioting that has cost more than a score of lives in the last three days.

According to an official government communique issued this afternoon, two Arab demonstrators were killed in the city today in clashes with the police, and seventeen were seriously wounded. Scores more received minor injuries.

Most of the casualties were sustained by the rioters when an Arab mob attempted to invade the Old City, the central part of Jerusalem included behind the ancient walls. Heavy police detachments had been posted at all the gates to the Old City by the authorities in anticipation of such a move by the rioters.
