In connection with the economy activities of the Palestine Zionist Executive, the Immigration Office of the Palestine Zionist Executive in Jerusalem has been closed down. In addition to the ten clerks in the Immigration Department of the Palestine Zionist Executive, who have been dismissed for reasons of economy, about twenty more employees in other Departments will go.
The committee of the employees of the Palestine Zionist Executive, who were eighty in number, is negotiating with the Executive with a view to obtaining compensation for the dismissed clerks.
By a resolution of the Chamber of Commence of Goldsboro, N. C. all the business establishments, offices and banks in the town were closed during the funeral of Joe Rosenthal who died on Sunday. Mr. Rosenthal was last year appointed by Governor Melean member of a committee to organize a cotton finance corporation in North Carolina. He was a member of the board of trastes of the North Caroline College for Women and of public and charitable institutions throughout the state.
