Jerusalem Stone Arrives in New York; Israel’s Gift to U.N.

A shipment of 14 tons of Jerusalem stone which will be presented as Israel’s gift to the United Nations has arrived in this country, it was announced here today by the Israeli Office of Information. The stone, a variety found only in the hills of Judea, will be presented formally to the U. N., probably on January 15, for use in its garden.

A shipment of Hebrew language typewriters manufactured by the Swiss Hermes company and assembled in Israel have just arrived in this country to be sold through Hermes agencies, it was announced. The portable machines are the first of their type in the Hebrew language to come to this country. They are assembled in Israel by a private firm which has obtained world market rights for this model from the Hermes company.
