The fourth annual examinations for proficiency in the Hebrew language, sponsored by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, will be given in this country to some 100 candidates on March 30, it was announced here today by Judah Pilch, executive director of the American Association for Jewish Education.
The examinations are given in this country by the American Association and the American Section of the World Union for Jewish Education. A group of 19 American students who successfully passed the third annual examinations received their certificates of “Amit”–proficiency–at a ceremony held here last week.
