An open air concert, said to be the first in 1900 years since the Roman times, was held last night in the stadium of the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus.
The concert was given by the Palestine Symphony Orchestra to commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of the death of Beethoven.
Lord Plumer, High Commissioner of Palestine, and Lady Plumer attended the concert.
