Jerusalem’s long-time chief Sephardi rabbi, Shalom Mashash, died Saturday night at the age of 90. Mashash served for many years as head of the rabbinical court in Casablanca, Morocco. After retiring, he immigrated to Israel to serve as Jerusalem’s chief Sephardi rabbi, a post he held for 25 years.
