Jerusalem’s mayor announced Tuesday that he will run for the Likud leadership when party primaries are held in early September. “The era of hocus-pocus is over,” Ehud Olmert said in an apparent swipe at outgoing Premier Benjamin Netanyahu, who resigned as party head after losing last month’s elections. “I didn’t come to eulogize Likud, but to offer it a path of renewal.”
