A Jesuit university has accepted as its official song one composed by two Jewish boys.
The song was written by Benjamin G. Slater and Herman J. Scholl, who are both juniors at Marquette University Law School.
The song won first place in an all-university competition in which 26 manuscripts were submitted. The words will be printed in the new edition of the Marquette University song book and will be orchestrated and arranged for band to be used by the Marquette University band.
Both young men are members of Alpha Epsilon Pi and Kappa Mu Rho fraternities.
