A court today acquitted Shabbetai Mordechai, a Jew, of charges that he threw a bomb near the Jaffa Gate on June 8, injuring 25 Arabs and Armenians. He was one of five Jews seized in connection with the bombing, the others being released after an investigation. An Arab is believed to have aimed the bomb at passing Jews. Wounded Arabs charged it was thrown by Jews.
