Simon Zeigher, a Jew, has been appointed deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s office, it was announced here today by the Presidium of the Rumanian Republic.
Zeigher, whose duties will be to “coordinate the activities of the Cabinet commission for economic recovery and monetary stabilization,” is the second Jew to have been appointed to the Rumanian Cabinet, the first being Anna Pauker, Foreign Minister.
