Zev Epstein, 32, a Polish-born Palestinian high school teacher who was arrested in November in connection with the bombing of the British Embassy building in Rome, was shot and killed yesterday in an attempt to escape from police headquarters in Rome. Epstein reportedly intended to seek refuge in the Vatican.
