“Jew Laws”, aiming to restore the status of lawlessness which prevailed in the Middle Ages, were introduced into the Thuringian Diet by the anti-Semitic groups.
According to these “Jew laws” Jews would not be permitted to become teachers in the state schools and universities. Jews would not be admitted to the state educational institutions. Jews would be prohibited from becoming dealers in corn or cattle and the Schechita would be prohibited.
The “Jew laws” offer the following definition of a Jew: all those whose ancestry three generations back contained the blood of those who professed Mosaic faith.
