Gustavus Loevinger, St. Paul attorney, has been selected by Governor Theodore Christianson as a member of the State Teachers’ College board. Mr. Loevinger is one of eight members appointed to the board. The board supervises and directs the curriculum and activities of six teachers’ training or normal schools throughout Minnesota.
Mr. Loevinger, who has participated actively in all important Jewish communal activities in St. Paul, is a past president of District Grand Lodge, No. 6, of B’nai B’rith. Previous to the appointment of Mr. Loevinger, St. Paul has had no membership on state educational boards.
