Miss Golde Liss was elected a member of the All-Ukrainian Sik, the Central Executive Committee, the governing body in the Soviet system.
Miss Liss, who is thirty years of age, was born in Lodz, Poland, the daughter of a Jewish textile worker. At the age of ten, she settled in Kiev, where she became active in the labor ranks. She is the first Jewish woman to hold such a post.
