Max Fleishman, chairman of the Baking and Allied Industries Division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities in the Federation’s twenty-fifth anniversary campaign now under way to raise $500,000 for the twenty-five constituent societies, today called a joint meeting of the Brooklyn and New York members of the division to be held Monday night to plan an intensive drive to make up the $3,500 quota of the group.
Fleishman, who is chairman of the Jewish Wholesale Rye Bakers’ unit of Brooklyn and New York, announced that Federation speakers will present the cause of the affiliated organizations during the program of the Specialty Bakery Owners’ Association during that body’s convention, which is to be held in New York beginning April 2.
The executive committee serving with Fleishman in money-raising efforts for the Federation includes Max Akabas, Jacob Chassen, Leo Lehrman, Morris Messing, Harry Miller, E. J. Ranney, Harry Rosenblatt, Hyman Sommer, Simon Sussman and Alex H. Vogel.
