The body of Martin Wolfgang, a Jewish actor who was marked by the German authorities for deportation from Germany to Poland in 1940, was discovered in the ruins of a house in Berlin which was demolished by the Royal Air Force in one of its recent raids, the Swedish newspapers reported today.
It was revealed that the Jewish actor who disappeared after he learned that he was to be deported, had managed to live secretly in Berlin for three yearn under the very nose of the Gestapo. He was given shelter by a friendly family which apparently perished together with him during the air-raid.
